I lived in Italy as well and loved your list. I lived in Rome and would visit Porta Portese in my neighborhood of Trastevere. Street markets are such a delight, always something new to see. I love gelato as well, all the varieties in the large heaps. Having two flavors in one cup or cone is amazing.
Allison – I was just missing the street markets today! (I wrote a blog about the markets, called Agoraphobia is Another Word for TJ Maxx….tell me if that’s how you remember them!!) I looooved Rome – their markets must have beem amazing. When did you live in Italy?
Excellent blog! Do you have any hints for aspiring writers?
I’m planning to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you recommend starting with a free platform
like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m completely overwhelmed .. Any tips? Appreciate it!
I’m glad you like the blog – Italy writes itself! I would recommend starting with a free site, like WordPress, and get comfortable with that, before you sign up for a paid site. There are tons of options for format, and style – check out the “Help” section and play with it until you set up something you like. I’m practically Amish, and I figured it out. Feel free to ask me anything you like, and most importantly, get started!!
yes, this does make me feel like I’ve been on a short visit to Italia. thanks for the trip!
